Search the Glacier Photograph Collection The Glacier Photograph Collection consists of glacier photographs taken from the air and ground. Most of the glaciers photographed are in the U.S. Rocky Mountains, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Greenland. The dates of the photographs range from the 1800s to the present day. As of October 2007, more than 4,600 photographs are online. You can search for photographs by glacier name, location, date, photographer, and more. You can view photographs online, and download high-resolution photographs. To find repeat photographs, see the Repeat Photography of Glaciers special collection. This collection groups photographs of the same glacier, taken from the same vantage point and at the same time of year, but taken many years apart.
