Clark is the Deputy Director, National Snow and Ice Data
Center (NSIDC), Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences
(CIRES), University of Colorado at Boulder. He is responsible for the
day-to-day operation of the National Snow and Ice Data Center. The Center
has an interdisciplinary staff of 65 full-time people providing data
management and scientific support to the cryospheric sciences.

Clark is responsible for planning and managing data stewardship
activities at the National Snow and Ice Data Center. His current work
includes developing an approach that responds to the evolving needs of
scientists, educators, decision makers, and our funding providers. Those
needs include a desire for common cyberinfrastructure and collaboration;
closer integration of data management and science activities; enhanced
data discovery and delivery; and cost-effective and user-friendly solutions.
